School of Biological Sciences

Biological Science is the study of life in all its forms, from single cells to entire ecosystems. The School of Biological Sciences has nearly 30 full-time faculty devoted to undergraduate education, training students and pursuing new knowledge.

The School of Biological Sciences comprises four integrated programs that allow faculty and students to pursue interdisciplinary knowledge while emphasizing microorganisms, plants and animals. Our programs offer a broad foundation in the fundamental principles of biology and provide significant hands-on experience in both lab and field settings.
