Job/Internship Board

We encourage you to check out the School of Biological Sciences Instagram account for postings about jobs, internships, workshops, REUs, SIUC research positions and many other things that may be of interest to School of Biological Science majors.

Note that many of these job/internship opportunities are "off-site" and are not overseen by SIU faculty or staff. Prior to applying for or accepting any position, we recommend that students pay careful attention to the duties, requirements, necessary qualifications and location of the job/internship, note that some internships only provide room and board (i.e., they are unpaid, and travel costs may not be covered), and ask the sponsoring agency/organization questions if something is unclear.

Scholarships

Students in our degree programs are eligible for multiple scholarships. In 2025, our students were supported by nearly $400,000 in scholarship awards.
